The Lace Vase

Oh Madam and Sir you are worry worts.
What do you think you can achieve
by this fruitless activity.
We are not in control, the crystal ball
this does not exist!
But there is the Lord who does exist
and hears every prayer.
He cares, He loves and He protects,
and guides us.
But what do we do Madam and Sir but ignore Him.
We choose to stress and worry instead
or run to others (in whom there is no help)
instead of beholding Him.
jLm

"For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One
of Israel:
"In returning and rest
you shall be saved;
In quietness and confidence
shall be your strength."
Isaiah 30:15

Garden Vase

"How can their lot be improved? all their wants are supplied; every comfort is administered; they have warm houses, good clothes, plentiful diet, and rest after a life of labour; and above all, that treasure so inestimable in declining years, a true and kind friend to listen to their sorrows, watch over their sickness,and administer comfort as regards this world, and the world to come!"
Excerpt from "The Warden" by Anthony Trollope (page 32).

"A MAN'S STEPS ARE OF THE LORD;
HOW THEN CAN A MAN UNDERSTAND HIS OWN WAY?"

Miss Pograme

"We should try and cure ourselves of the disease of worrying about how we appear to others and concern ourselves only with how we appear before God !inaccurate quote" Miguel de Unamuno

"But Jesus called them to himself and said,
"You know that the rulers of the Gentiles
lord it over them, and those who are great
exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not
be so among you: but whoever desires to become great
among you, let him be your servant.
And whoever desires to be first among you,
let him be your slave-
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Matthew 20:25-28

Analogue

There is an exquisite venue in Melbourne called Analogue.My son William had his first art exhibition on Friday night at Analogue. It was a successful evening, thanks to the generosity of those who helped him. Thankyou to Trent Smyth, the owner of Analogue, this venue is absolutely superb.It is at Level 3, 306 Little Collins street Melbourne. Trent's website is www.analogue.net.au

This painting has been posted using a mobile phone instead of my usual digital camera. I will not have my camera for three weeks as I have lent it to James whilst he goes on holiday. Lucky him!

For Trent Smyth and all those who helped Bill:

"THE GENEROUS SOUL WILL BE MADE RICH,
AND HE WHO WATERS WILL ALSO BE WATERED HIMSELF."
Proverbs 11:25
